Raquel Lima, from USAC in Guatemala, spent four months in Vermont working on parasite genetics and virulence and Karla Castillo from El Salvador spent five months at Loyola working on parasite strain typing. Bethany Richards from Loyola University New Orleans spent five weeks training researchers in Guatemala and El Salvador in the Specify database software, for managing our insect collections.
